Overview:
Dream Creamery, a beloved ice cream shop in Minnesota, underwent a comprehensive rebrand to elevate its identity and presence in the community. While collaborating with an external agency to create the foundation for the logo, website template, and overall brand identity, my role was to take this vision and expand it across all aspects of the business. Over three years, I developed and implemented a cohesive visual language that extended from print materials to web assets and in-store experiences, ensuring the brand felt as sweet and playful as the products it served.
Scope of Work:
Expanded upon the original logo and brand identity, ensuring consistency across both digital and physical touchpoints
Designed custom packaging, seasonal promotional materials, and product labels that showcased the vibrant, fun nature of the brand
Created a fully responsive website and integrated e-commerce experience, offering seamless online ordering and an engaging customer journey
Developed print collateral, including business cards, loyalty cards, and signage, to build a stronger connection with the community
Designed digital assets for social media campaigns, email newsletters, and online promotions to amplify brand awareness
Collaborated with the team to ensure the in-store visual identity—from menu design to wall art—aligned with the brand’s fun, family-friendly atmosphere
Challenges & Solutions:
A key challenge was maintaining a consistent and engaging brand identity while ensuring it was scalable across various platforms and mediums. The solution was creating flexible design systems that allowed the brand to remain playful and cohesive, while adapting to the specific needs of each touchpoint, whether it was print, digital, or physical space.
Results:
The rebrand and expansion of Dream Creamery were met with an overwhelmingly positive response from both customers and local media. The refreshed branding successfully captured the playful spirit of the ice cream shop while elevating its presence within the market. This cohesive, multi-platform identity has helped Dream Creamery strengthen its customer base and position itself as a go-to spot for high-quality, indulgent ice cream.
